In the News:  CVS Chatham Fluoride Prescriptions

Recently it was discovered that some children who received prescriptions for Fluoride 0.5 mg tablets at the CVS on Main Street in Chatham in recent weeks might have inadvertently received some tablets of the breast cancer drug Tamoxifen mixed in with the prescription bottle.  When our office found out about the incident, we were able to check our electronic prescribing records and contact all the patients we were aware of who might have been affected.  Fortunately there have been no reports of harm to children who were given this medicine, but if you picked up a prescription for Fluoride tablets at this pharmacy, it is important to check your bottle for accuracy.
