Touchpoint Pediatrics Services Offers Children’s Healthcare in Chatham, NJ

Parents will find a pediatrician for their child or children at Touchpoint Pediatrics. Our five outstanding doctors provide complete medical services for expectant parents, their infants and adolescent children.

​Your pediatrician will work with new parents to schedule appropriate wellness exams for infants. We counsel new parents on breastfeeding, formula and when to introduce solid foods to babies. Parents have a patient portal for each child where they can refer to the child’s growth and immunization record.

Our pediatricians are on call 24/7 to answer questions. Doctors include Touchpoint founder Jennifer Shaw M.D., Stuart Slavin M.D., Valerie Tom M.D. and Danielle Corpuz M.D.​


Immunizations

We only accept new patients who have received or will receive recommended immunizations. We respect our patients, parents and offer a flexible schedule for immunizations, but all of our young patients must be immunized prior to entering New Jersey public schools and many private schools per the guidelines mandated by the State of New Jersey.

Recommended immunizations include:

  • Tdap vaccine for pertussis (whooping cough), tetanus and diphtheria
  • Polio vaccine
  • Immunization against measles, mumps and rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Chickenpox (varicella)

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has a list of the recommended vaccines and the age at which they should be administered. We strongly recommend following this program for the health of your children.

Quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine that prevents the different types of meningitis is recommended for children ages 11-18. We offer preservative-free quadrivalent (four strains) vaccine for flu shots that can be given each fall to children from 6 months to adult, including the entire family and care giver.

Touchpoint offers the Gardasil-9 human papillomavirus vaccine for both teenage girls and boys to prevent the growth of the virus that can cause genital area cancers and warts in both sexes.

Behavior Health

Dr. Jennifer Shaw, is a board-certified developmental and behavioral pediatrician. She has been recognized for her work in diagnosing behavioral disorders and autism.

Touchpoint Pediatrics works with parents to screen children for ADHD or Attention Deficit and Hyperactive Disorder using various behavioral screening tools, including the Quotient ADHD System. This diagnosis is for children who experience problems concentrating in school.

Touchpoint is affiliated with Morristown Memorial Medical Center in Morristown, St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey.
